I’m Registered, Now What?
The following is a guide on how to use LabDash as a Patient.
There are 4 steps to the registration process:
1) Create your account. You can do this at the link below:
2) Check your email for an activation link
3) Log in and complete your profile
4) Begin testing
A healthcare provider or sponsor can request a test for you.
Once you receive a test kit with a barcode you can begin testing.
Log into LabDash and go to the “Collect Sample” screen.
Patient Identification
Identify who is getting tested by clicking “Collect” under their name.
The “Next” button will then appear – click it to continue.
Sample Barcode
Scan or enter the barcode from your test kit. (Note: scanning may not be available on your device.)
Once the barcode is verified, the “Next” button appears – click it to continue.
Collection Information
Enter information about your sample including collection method, payment method, and symptoms.
When you are finished, click “Submit” to complete this step.
The “Next” button will then appear – click it to continue.
Review And Submit
Review your collection information and make sure it is correct.
Review the consent statement and sign to indicate you agree to the terms.
Click “Sign and Submit” to enter this information into LabDash. This will connect your sample barcode to your account.
Now you are ready to collect your sample.
Depending on the type of sample you are collecting, your test kit may contain a swab or other sample collection device. It will also contain a test tube, biohazard bag, and a barcode sticker.
For collecting a nasal sample, use the swab to swab each nostril for at least 10 seconds. Then break the swab off into the test tube. For collecting a saliva sample, ensure you have not consumed any food or drink besides water in the last 30 minutes, and provide a saliva sample in the test tube.
Place the barcode onto the test tube and fill out any information requested on the sticker. If nothing is requested on the sticker, write your legal name initials clearly on a blank space.
Place the labeled test tube into the bag, seal it up and your sample is ready to go to the lab!
Check under your list of samples on the home page for dates when samples are collected, received, and resulted.
You may also opt into e-mail or SMS notifications that are sent out when the lab receives, cancels, or uploads results for your sample.
Once results are uploaded for your sample, you can see the results from your home screen. Individual test results as well as a downloadable report PDF will be available.
Securely share your results by generating a QR code with an expiration time on it. The recipient of this code can scan it to view the test results.
